Police quiz teacher, student over Osun school attack

The Commissioner  of Police in Osun State, Mrs. Dorothy Gimba, on Tuesday interrogated the vice principal of Baptist High School, Ejigbo and a female student of the school in connection with the attack of the school by some hoodlums on Monday.

Some hoodlums had attacked the school on Monday and injured the Principal, Mr. Layi Oguntola, based on the allegation that the principal turned back some female students of the school for wearing hijab on their uniforms.
A police source told journalists that the female student and the vice principal of the school were  at the Police Headquarters, Osogbo, on Tuesday afternoon following their invitation by the commissioner of police.
He said the commissioner interrogated them and they were allowed to go after the session.
He said, ” The female student, who was said to have been sent away from the school for wearing hijab, came. The vice principal of the school also came and some religious leaders came with their lawyer.
” The girl and the vice principal were asked some questions and after that, they were allowed to go.”
