The management of the National Business and Technical Examinations Board has announced a new registration procedure effective 2018 November/December. GOOD NEWS: Effective Nov/Dec 2018 NABTEB Examinations : 1. Candidates shall make payment online, where they will choose their preferred Examination Centre. 2. Approved and registered Examination Centres (ECs) shall be uploaded on a new NABTEB website: www.nabteb.gov.ng . The federal government may be considering a mandatory extra year of studies for Nigerian students before entering the labour market. Anthony Anwukah, minister of state for education, made this known at a two-day retreat for governing councils of federal universities in Abuja on Tuesday. Katsina Polytechnic to kick off degree programmes

The Katsina Polytechnic has revealed plans to launch four new degree programmes in collaboration with the Federal University of Technology (FUT) Minna. Ibrahim Kurfi, rector of the polytechnic, disclosed this on Wednesday while receiving a panel from FUTMinna who paid him a visit in Katsina. He listed the programmes as B.Sc. technical education, B.Sc. biology, B.Sc. mathematics and B.Sc. chemistry. Nigerian Secondary School Students emerge winners of US Science Competition

Four students of Whitesands Schools, Lekki have emerged winners of a category in the Conrad Foundation Spirit of Innovation Challenge. Afolabi Williams, Olubusiyi Famobiwo, Menashi Mordi and Osagumwenro Naaman Ugbo, all junior secondary school students, won the Smoke-Free World category of the competition. The finals of the Spirit of Innovation Challenge held at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, Florida, US. The Smoke-Free category challenged students to seek solutions to the effects of reduced smoking on tobacco farmers, especially those in developing countries.
