Recipients of Anioma Association Scholarship Awards and their parents

Three Nigerian undergraduates have been awarded scholarships by a US-based non-profit organization, Anioma Association USA, Georgia Chapter.

The beneficiaries are indigenes of Anioma, a community in Delta state, studying at two Nigerian universities.

They are; Ine Isioma Lawrence, a final year student of Sociology, University of Ibadan (UI); Michael Emeka Precious, a second year student of Petroleum Engineering at University of Benin (UNIBEN) and Onyenekwe Chiziterem Precious, a second year student of Medical Biochemistry, also of UNIBEN.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, the President of the association, Martin Chukwurah, said the awards seeks to support the human capital development of Delta State and to challenge Anioma youths positively.

Chukwurah noted that the award is in its second year and the award sum has been increased from N50,000 to N75,000.
